About Forever Bath & Shower

A San Diego bath remodeling company doing one thing: making bathrooms easier and safer to use, without making them look like medical equipment.

Licensed, bonded and insured — and how to check

Forever Bath & Shower Inc. holds California contractor licence number 1159136. You do not have to take our word for any of that. The Contractors State License Board publishes every licence, its classification, its bond and its status, and anyone can look it up in about thirty seconds.

We would encourage you to check ours, and to check anyone else quoting on your bathroom. An unlicensed contractor leaves you without the protections the licence and bond exist to provide, and it is the cheapest piece of due diligence available to a homeowner.

How we work

  • The visit is free and it is a visit, not a presentation. We measure, look behind what we can, and talk about what the room actually needs.
  • One written price. Agreed before anything is ordered, under a California home improvement contract with the cancellation rights state law gives you.
  • If we find something, we show you. Water damage behind an old surround is common. You see it before any extra work is agreed.
  • No is a fine answer. If a visit ends with a quote you decide not to use, that is a normal outcome and the quote is yours to keep.

What to ask any contractor quoting your bathroom

Including us. These are the questions that separate a firm you can hold to something from one you cannot, and none of them are awkward to ask:

  • What is your licence number, and is it current? Ask for the number, then check it yourself on the CSLB site rather than taking a printed logo as proof.
  • Are you bonded and insured, and can I see the certificate? A real certificate names the insurer and the policy period.
  • Is this price fixed, and what happens if you find damage? You want to hear that work stops and you are shown it before anything is added.
  • Who is actually in my house? Employees or subcontractors, and either is fine as long as the answer is straight.
  • What does the warranty cover, and for how long? In writing, not as a verbal assurance on the day.
  • How much do you want up front? California law caps the deposit on a home improvement contract at $1,000 or ten per cent of the contract price, whichever is less. Anyone asking for a third of the job before starting is telling you something.
